Message from HH Shenphen Dawa Norbu Rinpoche 25 April 2013
What is to abandon and what is to adopt are the Teachings of the Buddha and the Noble Ones. To abandon negative actions and adopt positive ones is the way of the Victorious Ones. The primary act to abandon is that of taking the life of another being. We counteract this negative action by the act of freeing lives and developing positive attitude. Therefore, giving refuge and saving life is the act of the Bodhisattvas or Compassionate Ones.
This month of Saga Dawa, Friday, May 10 to Saturday, June 8 is when all the planets and stars come together and make this auspicious month a Bumgyur Dawa (100,000 increasing the positive merits). It’s rare and important so take the opportunity to practice at this moment.
Freeing lives alone is not sufficient. It must be infused with prayers for the lives of these beings, offering of relics to the animals that are being freed for purification at the time of their death so that they will have a better rebirth and dedication to all parent sentient beings. There is no better time to prepare a better karma for ourselves by adopting these virtues. This is also a preparation for our next life.
This year, during Saga Dawa, I intend to release as many lives as possible on a grand scale. Therefore, I request all students, friends and those concerned to contribute generously. Your noble action will generate peace, prosperity to you as well.
I also request students to come to Yeshe Nying Po to help make the relic pills. Those who wish to volunteer should contact the center soon.
During Saga Dawa I advise students not to eat meat and to concentrate more on their practice of purification and do all virtuous deeds. Of course be aware to dedicate the merit for the benefit of all our parent sentient beings, infinite as space.
With the blessings of the Lama, Yidam and Khandro for the benefit of all,
Shenphen Rinpoche

Green Tara is the embodiment of all refuges, and the liberator of all sorrows. She is also the goddess of wealth and prosperity. We must not misunderstand and think that the Green Tara of Wealth is only for material gains; its primary function is the development of the wealth of wisdom
The Goddess Tara took an oath before the primordial Buddhas that she would never abandon her female form, to benefit beings continuously. This female form is the form of wisdom and compassion. She is also the mother of all the Buddhas and therefore the manifestation of the triple gem. She is the manifestation of the Kayas as well.
This sadhana is a revelation of my father, His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche, Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje, one of the most renowned scholars and realized masters of the Twentieth Century. This is his mind’s revelation Terma.
This revelation Terma I received directly from him, the empowerment, the transmission, and the pith instructions and it is now being transmitted to you. I am revealing this teaching now to benefit all countless sentient beings.
This will purify defilements and remove all obstacles, outer, inner and secret, but, most important of all, one will develop compassion, wisdom and skilful means. And I have no doubt that it will also help you to develop a positive and pure vision towards all. This practice opens up the mindstream towards wisdom. And, with its purification, our body, speech and mind will be in harmony.
The empowerment of this Green Tara will be given later in the summer.
Space is limited. Early registration is recommended.
The offering for this extraordinary teaching is $101.00
