A Cry from the Depths of Our Hearts

By

Dungse Shenphen Dawa Norbu

Infinite space which radiates compassion in the form of gentle rain, anointing the people and the earth with nourishment, growth, and blessings,–we recognise you, Sangyum Rigzin Wangmo, as the incarnation of Tara in the flesh. We pray that you swiftly return to continue your unhindered activity for the benefit of us suffering sentient beings, so that our unhappiness, fear, and all turbulent times are completely pacified. We pray that you heed our yearning call, and bless us once more with your holy presence. These are not just words, but a cry from the depth of our hearts. Come soon and come now to point to us the essence of the mind that will lead us to liberation.

To Sangyum Rigzin Wangmo

Dear Mother, goddess Tara incarnate in the flesh, we the children and disciples thank you for protecting and bringing us up with love and kindness towards all; please forgive us for any pain or frustration that we may have unknowingly caused.

There are no words or actions that are comparable to your skilful means and generosity. Although you are no longer with us, you still remain within the depths of our hearts; it only appears that you have gone since your presence in our hearts and minds has never really left. Whatever we could say or do to thank you infinitely would never be enough. We pray that you return swiftly without any hindrance, so that we can bask again in the radiance of your compassionate love, thus enabling us to bring peace and harmony to all our parent sentient beings.

Prayer for the Peoples of the Earth

For the peoples and nations of the earth

May not even the names disease, famine, war, and suffering be heard.

Rather may pure conduct, merit, wealth, and prosperity increase,

And may supreme good fortune and well-being always arise.

Prayer by His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche
