Ri Wo Sang Chö

Wednesday,   03/01/17 at 10am

All are invited to take part in a short Ri Wo Sang Chö Practice with Rinpoche on this day. Rinpoche will also bless prayer flags at this time.  Rinpoche strongly encourages people involved in business to raise prayer flags to increase their chances of success and prosperity. Cotton flags are preferable over synthetic and are encouraged. Only cotton flags will be raised at Orgyen Cho Dzong for those who have paid membership. There will also be a $5 donation per group of flags to have them raised.

Gutor Reversing Practices

02/23/17-02/25/17

Rinpoche explains about Gutor:

In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition the Gutor Reversing Practices work for future prosperity in general and help in removing obstacles to life in particular. Gutor is also very important for reversing bad omens, particularly for people whose birth year corresponds to the coming year. Their life is in critical danger and they may face major obstacles in the foregoing year. Therefore the reversing practices have to be done to remove those impending obstacles. There will be a lot of strong reversing mantras recited and accumulated during Gutor, as well as subjugation implements that will have to be used.

Special Items for reversing practices

For the reversing practices to be most effective, it is of course best if one can participate directly. If this is not possible you can send:

  1. An item of your own and of each of your immediate family; that is: a few strands of hair; or cuttings of nails; or a small cutting of clothing—to create a connection with the reversing torma effigy, which that will be sent away. Rinpoche emphasizes that this is especially important if your birth year is that of the Bird.

  2. In addition you can send a list of names of immediate family members only, which can be e-mailed to ynyingpo@aol.com.

We should preferably receive all of these items before the 22nd of February for ease of preparation.  Anything received after the 24th of February will unfortunately not be able to be included in the offering torma for these practices.

Please send these items as soon as possible.
