Dzogchen Ngondro

July 2nd – July 22nd

Retreat fee: $901

This set of teachings is extremely rare. There are both relative and absolute aspects to be explained and the teaching is comprised of various parts including the Bardos, Powa, Dream Yoga, Tumo and the Mantra Ending the Six Realms. Aside from these, there will be instructions on the perfect accomplishment of the nature of mind.

It is open to anyone who is seriously committed to the path and practices of the Vajrayana and who has devotion towards the Dzogchen view.  To prepare the ground, Rinpoche would like students who wish to receive these instructions to accumulate a minimum of 15,000 of Vajrasattva’s One Hundred Syllable mantra, prior to July. It is also required that one has already, or is willing to complete a full set of Ngondro in order to attend.

Students are to arrive no later than June 30th so there is time to settle before the teachings which begin on July 2nd. If people want to come earlier to help at the center, they are very welcome to do so.

Dakini Tsok

July 8th

This tsok is open for all to attend.

Chökhor Düchen

July 16th

The day’s practice is open to anyone, and all are welcome.

Guru Rinpoche Tsok

July 22nd

This tsok is open to all and everyone is welcome to attend.

View, Meditation & Action

July 25th – July 30th

Fee: $351

This seminar introduces three fundamental tenets of all Buddhist practice: view, which is the ground of our being and the correct basis for understanding our experiences according to our true nature; meditation, upon which the path is based; and action, which is the result of the previous two. This teaching is open to all.

If you would like to attend all or part of the above program, please let us know as soon as possible so we can reserve a space for you.

Accommodation at OCD

The daily charge for room & board is $55. For those who are staying for the entire month of July the rate is reduced to $50.

The deposit policy will also remain the same. A $100 deposit is required for each teaching/retreat you wish to attend and a 10% deposit of your anticipated room and board charges is also required. Priority for housing will be given to those people whose deposits have been received and whose membership is current.

Contribute to Tsok Feast Offerings

You are invited to make a contribution towards purchasing offerings for the tsok feasts. If you are unable to attend, this is a good way to participate in the merit of the practice. Attendees, of course, can also contribute. Please send your contribution as soon as possible so that it can be included in the offering on the day.

Request Lamp Offerings

You are also welcome to have lamp offerings made for you at Orgyen Chö Dzong during any of the above dates––or at any time for any purpose you have in mind. Lamps requested by you are offered on your behalf and dedicated according to your wishes. If you have any questions regarding lamp offerings, please contact Orgyen Chö Dzong directly.

Contribute to the Daily Sang at OCD

We do a massive Ri Wo Sang Chö every morning in front of the stupa at OCD. Since it is often difficult to do this purificatory smoke puja at home, you can take part by making a contribution towards the offering substances.
